🀩 Speaker spotlight

Chetana Deorah, currently Program Partner, On Deck, and previously at Netflix and Coursera, talks about the role of design to drive business outcomes for some of the top companies in the world. She says, the role of a designer is to ask not the what or the how, but the why.

Harish heads the design team at CRED, and is also the lead vocalist and founder of the Carnatic rock band called Agam. While his past gigs include Freecharge, Google, Myntra, and Adobe, Harish has also been touring with Agam for the last 13 years.

Ashish Goel, former Head of Design at Zomato, has also taught at the d.school. He runs his sparkling water brand Boca and is currently Product Head at Blinkit. In this book, he talks about the risks worth taking and the stands worth making.

Take a look at the work of Keiichi Tanaami, a leading figure in postwar Japanese art. His work rose to prominence in the 1960s and will be the subject of an upcoming new show Keiichi Tanaami: Manhattan Universe in New York next month.

Though the Bauhaus has become synonymous with minimal and geometric systems of design, similar ideas have been around long before the Bauhaus. In Ecuador, Land of the Shuar, Vanessa ZΓΊΓ±iga Tinizaray refocuses geometric and systematic design principles on a culture far from 20th-century Europe.
